After a short visit to Garibaldi, OR, I drove the Oregon Coast (Route 101) south from Garibaldi to Gold Beach, OR at the mouth of the Rogue River, and on toward California.

Garibaldi, OR

After the J2 Wedding I drove from Sublimity, OR back to Los Angeles, CA. I took a day to check out a small town I’d passed on the way up: Garibaldi, OR. I originally drove through on a Friday night and couldn’t find a room, winding up eventually in Astoria. It’s a really nice spot. Maybe one day I’ll kayak through sloughs and rivers here.

SAN JUAN ISLANDS / PUGET SOUND
After completing “Route 101, End-2-End” I actually rested for a day in Olympia, then drove up (yes, “The 5″) to Seattle where I finally got to visit the place I’ve mail-ordered so much tea from, Market Spice at The Pike Place Market.
From Seattle I drove to Anacortes, WA and took the ferry from Anacortes to Friday Harbor. The vids on this page are from the ride from Friday Harbor back to Anacortes.
